I’d like to think I am a super chill, cool and mellow kayak-kakak photographer, but oftentimes you see me being the most talkative (sometimes even chaotic) person in the room. I have grown quite popular among makciks, I don’t know why but they love me hahaha. Kids too, actually. So maybe in summary I am your next door cool but chaotic cousin that mysteriously disappears in the background but is still always there when you need her? Ngeh, more or less ;)

“As Malay as a Malay can get, I am a whole lot of Makcik in the body of a Millennial pretending to be a Gen Z.”

I don’t think I’ve ever believed in a “perfect” photo. I’ve always loved working with imperfections; the raw-ness, the unhinged, and the quirks. It’s all about finding beauty in the flaws for me.

I started my journey as a photographer way back in 2015 when I was in Temasek Polytechnic, doing Communication Design. After graduation, I joined Colossal as an editor in 2018, and started shooting in 2020. Through the years, it’s like everything has changed, yet nothing’s changed at all. From doing mainly fashion photography in school to falling in love with wedding photography, I’ve grown so much as a photographer and as a person. Constantly making many mistakes, learning from it, try to do better the next time, rinse, repeat.

As a wedding photographer, I came in as a blank canvas. It took me a while to establish what my strengths and weaknesses are, but lately I’ve gotten the sense that making my couples comfortable comes naturally for me. I still am struggling to figure out my personal artistic style, but I’ve gotten pretty good at making my couples laugh and let loose.

I love love. As a hopeless romantic, I love getting couples who are so madly in love, they can’t keep their eyes (or hands) off each other. Sometimes I cry cause it’s so cute??
