Photographer by day, editor by night. I've always loved documenting an event from behind the lens, being able to capture what people seem to miss. Photography was something I started as a hobby, which turned into a passion after a while. As a teenager, I've always looked up to various photographers and learnt their different styles in order to find my own. As an editor at Colossal, I became very keen to know what it felt like to experience shooting couples on their big day. Therefore, here I am!
I see the world in a different colour when I shoot. Apart from focusing on the camera, I visualise how these shots will look like when we deliver them to you.
A laid-back, calm and funny couple would fit perfectly with my kind of shooting style!
I was a self taught photographer at the age of 19. Eager to learn and understand how it was to look at the world from a different perspective. I've had days when I was just binging on tutorial videos on YouTube just to figure out how to use my camera, learning how to use the different functions of the camera. And today, I aim to keep learning.
I joined Colossal in 2022 as an editor because the guys here are my main source of inspiration when I started photography. It felt like a dream come true to be here shooting alongside them.
From the day I started photography up till now, I feel like I am equipped with better skills and understanding of what it feels like to be a photographer and being able to capture photos that are more than just a photo, instead it turns into a memory (cheywah kau pandai2 ah rephrase HAHA)
It would either be a full on laughing shot with people around the couple celebrating their big day, or a dark, emotional shot of them shedding a tear or two.
